Faranak Khazaei

Faranak Khazaei is a data mining researcher and teaches the data analysis and natural language processing courses at Danaverse. In her teaching, working with data starts at collection and cleaning and continues until a genuinely usable result emerges. Hands-on work with real datasets is the centre of her classes.

Her classes focus on a stage many courses skip: where data comes from, what is wrong with it and how it has to be cleaned before any analysis. After that, students learn to ask data the right questions, find patterns and present results in a way that supports decisions.

In the natural language processing (NLP) part, exercises include working with text data and using language models through an API, a skill with direct use in building AI-based tools and services today. These classes suit people who want to go beyond learning tools and apply AI to real data.
