Paniz Borna

Paniz Borna is art director and instructor for the graphic and interface design courses at Danaverse. Her classes focus on understanding composition, colour and typography rather than just operating a tool, so students can make sound visual decisions on any project. Photoshop, Illustrator and interface design are her main teaching areas.

In the Photoshop course, layers, masks and selection tools come first, leading on to retouching, colour correction and compositing. Illustrator covers the difference between pixel and vector graphics, the Pen tool, and logo and icon design, while InDesign covers grids, master pages and text styles for laying out books, magazines and catalogues. Each part is built around a concrete project such as a social media poster, a brand identity or a multi-page publication.

When work is reviewed, the question is not only whether a design looks good but whether it communicates its message clearly. These courses suit people who want to pursue graphic design as a career and finish with a set of portfolio-ready pieces.
